Review: Make Up For Ever Full Cover Concealer

Review: Make Up For Ever Full Cover Concealer..

"Extreme Camouflage Cream Full Cover is perfect for concealing the most extreme flaws, such as scars, sever skin damage, beauty spots, depigmentation or birthmarks. It can even hide tattoos. Waterproof and long-lasting, it holds even under extreme conditions thanks to its perfectly stable formula. It evens out the skin tone and camouflages imperfections for extended periods of time."

If you read my IMATS Haul post, you would have known that I purchased this concealer at the event. Make Up For Ever is extremely hard to find in the UK so I jumped at the opportunity to purchase it from IMATS.

Ultra long-lasting
Matte finish
Oil Free
Waterproof
•  Full Coverage

I actually think I've used this concealer everyday without fail since buying it. I bought it in the shade #12 so it can be used as an under-eye concealer and highlighting. What I really love about this concealer is that it does not crease so if you're looking for an under-eye concealer then you may want to look into trying it out.
It is important that you work quickly with this product though because I do find that it dries quite quickly and doesn't really budge once dry. The concealer tends to darken as it dries so Make Up For Ever recommend that you purchase two shades lighter than your skin tone (well, if you're going to use it on the rest of your face for blemishes etc.)

Shades
The concealer is currently available in 12 shades but not all stores stock the full range so certain shades may not be available depending on where you go.

Coverage
This is a full coverage concealer which can be used to cover scars, birthmarks, dark circles, etc.

Consistency
The concealer has a cream consistency that is not too thick and is very smooth and easy to blend.

Size and Packaging
It comes in a squeezy tube with a nozzle and a screw top lid which I think is ideal. I prefer squeezy tubes with nozzles to tubs/pots as I feel it is more hygienic. The nozzle also means that you can control how much product comes out at a time, that way, there is no wastage.
You get 15ml/0.5 fl. oz of product.

Price and Availability
The concealer is usually around £20.50-£22.50 though I purchased it for £13.81. Like I mentioned previously, it is very hard to find in the UK but can be purchased from PAM or Guru Makeup Emporium.

Overall Thoughts
Besides the price, I love everything about this concealer and mainly the fact that it doesn't crease. Though I only use it as an under-eye concealer, I think it will be perfect for anyone who has scars, marks from spots or maybe just dark circles which they want to cover for an absolute flawless finish. Even though it is a full coverage concealer, it doesn't feel heavy at all neither does it look too thick or cakey. I know some of you may be thrown off by the price but you won't need much of it to cover your blemishes as a little goes a long way.

What's New: MAC Jubilee Lipstick

What's New: MAC Jubilee Lipstick..

Thanks for all the Back2MAC suggestions! In the end I decided to go for Jubilee which is described on the MAC website as a "naked beigey-pink". I was trying to avoid nudes that looked too pink but I really couldn't be bothered to try out all the nudes they had. I did quite like the look of Jubilee on me and I was told that it suited me which is why this is the shade I ended up walking away with.

I have worn it a few times since I got it and I would say it takes a few swipes for an opaque coverage which is a bit annoying but it could be because of the finish. This is my first 'lustre' lipstick (I think) and unless I find a colour that I really like, I don't think I'll be getting lustre's again (I say that now but watch me get another one lol).

Finish: Lustre
Collection: Permanent
I did swipe it quite a few times to achieve the coverage shown in the swatch so I guess it is buildable.
As you can see, it does lean towards pink but I'm not too fussed. I also think it would look good on all skin tones; well in my opinion anyway!

What do you think? Does anyone own Jubilee?

What's New: IMATS Haul - Illamasqua, MAC, MUFE, Crown Brush, Inglot, Miss Adoro

What's New: IMATS Haul..

In my previous post, I mentioned attending IMATS London this year. If you're not too sure of what IMATS is then click here to read my last post. There were a few discounted products though I didn't manage to find many that I wanted. I really regret not getting the MUFE Smokey Lash Mascara. I hadn't really heard about it until recently when all these YouTubers and Bloggers came back from IMATS raving about it.

First stop for me was Illamasqua where I probably bought the most from as all their items were less than £10! I wish I was able to get more interesting things but regardless, here are the products I managed to grab.

Illamasqua

Nail Varnish - Glory

This nail polish has been described as a molten silver. It's great for those looking for a silver nail polish that doesn't look glittery!

Discount Price: £5

Regular Price: £13.50

Nail Varnish - Throb
Though I have a few red polishes already, I picked up what Illamasqua describes as a 'blood red'.
Discount Price: £5
Regular Price: £13.50

Intense Lipgloss - Femme
After seeing swatches on Temptalia, I've always wanted to own one of the intense lipglosses. This was the only shade of pink they had on the day. Though it looks red in the tube, it actually comes out pink. On the website they describe this as a 'bright coral pink'.

Swatch

Discount Price: £5
Regular Price: £13

Sheer Lipgloss - Mina

I thought I'd be adventurous and also pick up a colour which is described as a 'shimmering berry purple'. I do not own any lipglosses in this colour as I tend to go for pinks and nudes. As it is a sheer lipgloss, the purple isn't too intense.

Swatch

Discount Price: £5
Regular Price: £13

Inglot

Matte Collection Nail Enamel - 719

When I got to the Inglot stand, the range of nail polish colours and finishes amazed me! This is a nail enamel that is part of their 'Matte Collection'. It can be worn matte or glossy if a glossy top coat is applied.
I think this colour is a very pretty coral that will be great for summer!
Discount Price: £6
Regular Price: £8

Matte Collection Nail Enamel - 716

Once again this is another nail enamel that is part of their 'Matte Collection'. I love this type of shade and would describe it as a pinky nude.
Discount Price: £6
Regular Price: £8

Crown Brush

CO1 Maxi Mop

I've never owned anything from Crown Brush. This is one product that caught my eye whilst at their stand because it is a sponge applicator with a ferrule and brush handle. I've never seen anything like it! I think it'll be great for blending or applying my under eye concealer. I'm not sure why it's called a maxi mop though lol. Maybe it has a specific use? Who knows?

Discount Price: £2
Regular Price: £2.22

MAKE UP FOR EVER

Full Cover Concealer - #12

I wasn't really interested in getting much from the MUFE stand as I already own their MUFE HD Foundation and I couldn't be bothered to get colour matched to their Mat Velvet + so I only picked up their Full Cover Concealer just to see what it's like.

Discount Price: £13.81
Regular Price: £20.50

Miss Adoro

Human Hair False Eyelashes - #15
I don't usually wear eyelashes because I just can't be bothered for the whole application process but for the price I just couldn't resist.
Discount Price: £2
Regular Price: Cannot remember. Sorry!

MAC Pro

Mineralize Skin Finish Natural - Dark
Blush (satin finish) - Devil

As you all know, the MSF Natural was a repurchase.
As this was MAC Pro, I thought I'd take advantage and buy a colour that can't be purchased in their stores so I went for an orange with a satin finish!

Blush Swatch
Blush Price: £14.50
MSF Natural Price: £20.50

Not much but what do you think?
