What's New | MAC 163 Brush and Clarins Beauty Flash Balm

What's New | MAC 163 Brush and CLARINS Beauty Flash Balm..♥

How sad, I've saved this what's new post in my drafts for nearly a month now and I never got around to completing it until now.

Yes I know there are only two products in this post but I guess nearly every little beauty buy is worth mentioning right? Although the MAC 163 brush is currently sold out, the Clarins Beauty Balm is still available to buy. I have a feeling the MAC brush will be back in stock sooner or later as I've heard it's always in and out of stock but you have to keep an eye on the site as it is a limited edition brush!

MAC 163 Contour Brush

The MAC 163 brush came out with the MAC Face and Body Collection. It's a contour brush designed to be used with the MAC Sculpting Cream. The shape of the brush is really good for use on the cheekbones to achieve prominent face definition with either a contour cream or powder. After reading reviews of the MAC Sculpting Cream at the time of purchase, I decided not to get them (I was also unsure of which shade I'd use and I was too lazy to check them out in a MAC store). I am after a product with a cream finish that I can use to contour with. If you have any suggestions, please let me know!

Price: £26

Availability: MAC

Clarins Beauty Flash Balm

This is one of those products that there's so much hype around. I'd been contemplating buying it for a long time so when it finally went on a 3-day sale at CheapSmells for £13.99, I grabbed it as soon as I could. The product is a favourite of Tanya Burr (Pixi2woo) so I really wanted to see what it was about. It is said to be an instant radiance booster which gives a softer, smoother and healthier looking complexion. It also claims to "promote firmer looking features and reduce the appearance of fine lines and  "Enhances make-up's luminous appearance and lasting wear." Sounds appealing right?

RRP: £28

CheapSmells Price: £17.95

Did anyone manage to grab the MAC 163 brush?

Autumn Lippies

Autumn Lippies..♥

Hey beauts!

Now that we're into Autumn it's definitely time to switch up our make up looks just a little bit. While many of us are already rocking the dark vampy lip, I'm not sure that I'm quite ready for a look so intense. As you know, my hair is now a natural black so it takes quite a lot to pull off a really dark lip. Instead, I'm taking a subtle dip into that trend this season by opting for shades which are more on the berry side rather than deep, plum or purple shades. In this post I'll be showing you some of my Autumn picks in hope that maybe one or two may interest you or give you an idea of colours that can be worn this season if you're like me and you're not daring enough for the deep vampy shades yet.

I am not wearing lip liner in any of these pictures so that it will help you see the true colour.

REVLON - Wine Not

MAYBELLINE - Plum Perfect

MARY KAY - Redwood (I think)

MARY KAY - Compassion

BECCA Beach Tint - Strawberry

CLINIQUE Almost Lipstick - Bare Honey

MARY KAY Lip Nectar - Passion Fruit

Swatches

L-R: Maybelline Plum Perfect, Mary Kay Compassion, Clinique Bare Honey, Mary Kay Redwood, Mary Kay Passion Fruit, Revlon Wine Not

I already have a post including swatches of BECCA Beach Tint. Click HERE to view it.

Other lipsticks such as MAC Rebel, MAC Dubonnet and MAC Hang-up are also great Autumn shades.

Review | TRESemme Salon Sleek Straightening Spray with Argan Oil

Review | TRESemme Salon Sleek Straightening Spray with Argan Oil..♥

When I wear my hair straight, I like it to be absolutely bone straight and sleek! After I had put my previous extensions through so much and also bleaching it, as it's real hair, it obviously required just a little more attention to maintain a shiny and sleek look. This product was a random buy whilst purchasing my TRESemme heat protecting spray and it was mentioned in one of my "What's New" post.

You're meant to use this spray whilst your hair is damp but I noticed I preferred the results of it when the hair was 80% dry or dry. On most days, I'd use it just before straightening and it really did make that difference! It eliminates any frizz that you may have and leaves a smooth finish to your hair. I also noticed that over time, your hair requires less straightening as it is a product that is used to train your hair to be straight. I'd wake up and have barely any straightening to do! The straightening spray also contains Argan Oil from Morocco which I love as you all know so it's not really necessary to buy a separate Argan Oil product if you don't want to. Apart from the fact that the extensions were good quality, I do believe the Argan Oil aided in the smooth and silky finish.

Those of you who have your hair straight a lot or are always straightening and don't know what to use on your virgin extensions, this is a good product to try out.

My mum has just recently bought me 2 more bottles of this though I haven't even finished the bottle I purchased but with this Virgin Filipino hair I doubt I'd be needing this spray any time soon!

Size: 250ml

Price: I originally bought this for £4.99 from Superdrug but Boots are currently having a 3 for 2 offer on hair care and hair accessories.

Availability: Most TRESemme stockists eg. Boots, Superdrug.

Has anyone tried this salon sleek spray?

Hair | My New Virgin Filipino Hair Extensions

Hair | My New Virgin Filipino Hair Extensions..♥

Since I've started my blog, I haven't gotten any new long bundles of hair to show you until now! I've mainly been reusing my Virgin Peruvian/Cambodian hair and it's time I gave them a break. In most pictures you see of me on my blog or instagram, I am using my Peruvian hair and in some cases, Cambodian at the back. The hair in my previous FOTD post was 3 bundles of Virgin Peruvian and 2 bundles of Virgin Cambodian hair. The Peruvian is the same hair that I've had in many other posts but I had bleached it.

I thought I'd take a picture and show you my new Virgin Filipino hair that I haven't used yet so you can see how it looks before I've put it in. My picture really isn't doing this hair any justice! It looks much nicer in person and has a natural shine to it. This time I'm only using 4 bundles of 100g because the hair is really thick from top to ends so I don't need as much as I would usually use. The lengths are meant to be 18", 20" x 2 and 22" but they've all measured longer than that.

I've just had it made into a u-part with a silk closure but I'm still considering maybe getting it more layered. When I've fully installed it, I may take a pic to show you all.

I get quite a lot of emails regarding my hair which I don't mind but don't forget I have a "My Hair Information" page which may answer some of your questions.

My hair is from 4hairline. For a pricelist, you will need to email sales@4hairline.co.uk or contact them via their Facebook page.

Has anyone tried Virgin Filipino hair before?
